Julie Armstrong

Julie is a Global Marketer who works with destination partners to develop integrated marketing strategies which leverage Brand USA’s programs and platforms globally to bring more international visitors to their destinations.

Understanding the complexities and challenges which confront clients as they navigate the global marketplace, Julie helps clients discern how best to tell their destinations’ uniquely wonderful stories while achieving measurable results.

Julie has been in travel-related marketing for 18 years, and the past 3 ½ years with Miles Partnership representing Brand USA, the Official Destination Marketing Organization of the USA, as the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast Global Marketing Executive. While at Miles, Julie has also worked with Destination DC members to participate in DDC’s Official Visitor programs. Prior to that, Julie formulated customized, integrated programs for international and domestic audiences at Custom Marketing Group, a travel company specializing in co-op marketing. While living in Hawaii, Julie represented Travel + Leisure, GOLF Magazine, and the Los Angeles Times. She helped create co-op marketing programs and travel trade industry events.
