Joni Johnson Joni Johnson is the Director of Domestic Sales & Marketing at the Virginia Tourism Corporation. The department promotes Virginia as a premier destination for meetings & conventions, group tour and sporting events. She has the pleasure of working closely with Virginia destination marketing organizations, hotel representatives and tourism industry professionals to leverage funds for outreach, tradeshow and marketing initiatives.
Joni is a native Virginian and graduate of James Madison University. Prior to joining VTC, she worked for Richmond Region Tourism for nine years. In her 25+ years in the hospitality industry she has enjoyed various work experiences within hotels, restaurants, travel agencies and an amusement park.
