Grant Deppen Grant Deppen is the Assistant Director of Intramural Sports and Esports at Old Dominion University, in Norfolk, Virginia. Grant received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Sports Management from Kent State University in Ohio. He is also currently a doctoral student in Public Administration and Policy at Old Dominion University.
With over a decade of experience in higher education, Grant has overseen the execution of a wide range of programs related to all types of sports and recreation, student career development, and transferrable professional skills. Grant is also directly responsible for the creation and implementation of Old Dominion Universities Varsity Esports program, the design and buildout of the Monarch Esports Arena, and all other components of ODU’s esports endeavors.
