Director of Marketing & Communications The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa
Lynn Swann has more than 25 years of experience in marketing and public relations for two of America’s most iconic resorts. Since March 2012, she has been the director of marketing and communications for The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa. She was named the 2023 Marketing Leader of the Year for Omni Hotels and Resorts as a result of her efforts with the grand reopening of the resort and Warm Springs Pools. In 2016, The Homestead celebrated 250 years as America’s first resort and Lynn played a vital role in the creation and implementation of the anniversary year. Lynn is the creator and executive producer of the resort’s podcast, Beyond the Tower, which won a silver anvil award for digital marketing, multimedia series from HSMAI.
Prior to joining The Homestead, she served as manager and later director of public relations for The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia for more than 13 years. In this role, Lynn was responsible for media, community, and government relations as well as the Symposium for Professional Food Writers, Sam Snead Festival and Tom Watson Fall Golf Classic. Her efforts on the reopening of the bunker earned a platinum anvil award for public relations from HSMAI. She was the resort spokesperson during the 18-month union negotiations, bankruptcy and sale of the resort. Lynn is a member of PRSA and was awarded the West Virginia PR Practitioner of the Year in 2010. At both resorts, Lynn worked closely with Historic Hotels of America, as well as local and state tourism organizations.
The mother of two daughters, Lynn has been very involved in her community, serving eight years as a member of the White Sulphur Springs City Council and more than 15 years as a board member of the town’s Main Street program. A longtime Rotarian, Lynn is currently secretary of the White Sulphur Springs club. In 2024, she was elected to the Garth Newel Music Center board of directors. She earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
