With more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industry, Anissa Ladd, has built a career rooted in passion, service and creating memorable experiences. In her current role, she brings her expertise and knowledge to Virginia as the Vice President of Sales & Services for Visit Virginia Beach, where she oversees Meetings and Conventions Sales, Travel Trade Sales and Destination Services. She is very excited to bring fresh energy and perspective to the local tourism community where she is focusing on strengthening collaboration between industry partners, enhancing visitor experiences, and contributing to the growth and sustainability of the city’s tourism sector.
A proud graduate of Johnson & Wales University, Anissa began her journey with a strong foundation in hotel management, which has since grown into a wide-ranging career, spanning sales leadership, operations, and guest engagement. Throughout the years, she has worked across diverse sectors of tourism, including hotel management, convention center management, general service contracting, and in destination management organizations bringing a unique blend of creativity, professionalism, and hands-on expertise to every role. Known for building strong teams and cultivating meaningful connections, Anissa believes that hospitality comes from the heart.
When not working, you’ll find Anissa playing with her dog Latte, trying out the new recipes her husband creates, or wandering around farmer’s and flea markets in search of hidden treasures. These passions reflect the same curiosity and creativity that has guided her career, by finding joy in discovery, connection and shared experiences.
