Wirt Confroy Wirt Confroy has been with Virginia Tourism for 20 years, partnering with Virginia communities to maximize their tourism potential. He currently manages the Commonwealth’s Tourism Development Financing Program, helping fund new tourism product development. Wirt also works with communities and businesses to reach and welcome LGBTQ+ travelers. Prior to VTC, Wirt worked at the Martin Agency for 8 years on the U.S. Virgin Islands team. A Halifax County native, Wirt loves Virginia whiskey, local bands and American Sign Language.
