Min Park, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of the School of Sport, Recreation, and Tourism Management at George Mason University (Mason) teaching courses in tourism management since 2006. Her research interests focus on the areas of tourism and its interactions with other societal phenomena such as sharing economy and social media, tourism growth issues, destination management, and social impacts of tourism. Dr. Park has published numerous journal articles and been involved in several national and international projects funded by various sources. She has taken several administrative positions in the Provost Office including Acting Assistant Vice President for International Campus Operations and Dean of Administration at Mason Korea (Mason’s global campus in South Korea). In her 8 years of working in the Provost Office, she spearheaded the Mason’s global campus project (Mason Korea) and managed various international collaborations with foreign educational institutions. Before joining Mason in 2006, she worked for the Maryland Office of Tourism for 5 years as research manager.
