Registration Now Open for the 2016 Event in Roanoke, Virginia
Richmond, Va. – June 13, 2016 – Robert Kulp and Mike Whiteside, stars of the DIY Network hit show Salvage Dawgs and advocates for Virginia’s architectural history, will be featured speakers at the 2016 VA-1 Tourism Summit. The 2016 Summit will focus on “Experience Virginia,” encompassing a variety of Virginia’s premier tourism industries—arts, outdoor adventure, culinary, and sports.
Kulp and Whiteside, co-owners of Black Dog Salvage in Roanoke, VA, were selected to speak at the event to discuss not only their place in Virginia’s art and history tourism markets, but for their place in the Commonwealth’s growing film and television production arena. New this year, the 2016 VA-1 Tourism Summit begins Sunday evening with the “Stars Are Born” 2016 Virginia Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus (VACVB) Virgo Awards Showcase. Giving attendees an opportunity to enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, as well as see the best marketing work created by our localities from the previous year and meet the teams that created it.
Registration is now open for the Summit, which will be hosted at The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center from November 13–15, 2016. The Summit is the largest event for Virginia’s Convention & Visitors Bureaus, Destination Marketing Organizations, Restaurants, Hotels, Attractions, and more, attracting over 500 attendees each year to quality content on tourism marketing strategies and best practices, great parties and receptions, and more.
